A giant inflatable version of Bucky Badger marks UW-Madison’s presence on the State Fair’s Central Mall during UW-Madison Day at the Fair, held Aug. 6, 2008, at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis, Wis. To highlight the important role of education and outreach, University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty, staff, student and alumni volunteers offered a variety of hands-on science demonstrations, musical performances, skills tests for sports fans, and a spirited pep rally.
