Our mission is to provide students with hands-on educational opportunities in a number of fields, including quality control, dairy research, and food processing. The experience they receive at the Babcock Dairy Plant gives them a competitive edge in the real world.

This year students made their own cheeses and submitted them to the Wisconsin Cheese Maker’s Association for evaluation

Students work in all aspects of dairy production—from pasteurization and milk bottling to cheese and ice cream processing. They gain valuable experience by working with skilled full-time employees following good manufacturing and quality control practices. Students who work in the plant leave with a wealth of experience that makes them excellent candidates for food-industry careers.
